About Gells

Gells is pronounced Jel-z.  We wanted our belts to “gel” your look together and also “gel” fashion and philanthropy as we have three partner charities we work closely with!

Our company is based in Southport, CT.  We are a family owned and run business.

You can find our products at a specialty retail partners across the US.  We will soon have our products on Amazon and our partner sites NHl.com and Kohl's, and of course www.gellsapparel.com.

You can also find our products at select NHL arenas, school and university bookstores. Give us a call if you are looking for a store near you and we'll search our database for a retail partner who might have what you're looking for.

Our Products

Each belt and hat is individually stitched so there may be slight variations.

Gells is currently licensed to produce products for the National Hockey League.  We are continuously working on acquiring new licenses for schools and teams to expand our offerings. If you don't see your favorite team or alma mater listed, we would love to hear from you.  

We have worked with many private schools, clubs and corporations and would love to create custom belts and apparel for you.

Adult Belts - You can choose the correct size for an adult belt based on the waist size.  Our belts are unisex. Additionally, our belts feature a polished brass slide buckle which easily adjusts and is forgiving when it comes to sizing! 

Children Belts - sizing is done by age, and they tend to run a little big.  Kids grow and this allows the belt to last several seasons/years.  Once children age/grow out of kids sizes, go up to adult small!

Shipping

We are able to ship to street addresses, P.O. F.P.O. and A.P.O. boxes in all 50 states and in Canada.

Unfortunately no. Please double check your address for accuracy before submitting your order online. If this occurs please call us and we can do our best to assist you.

We strive to process orders as quickly as possible. Orders placed Monday through Friday are typically shipped within 1-3 business days. Orders placed after 1pm on Friday or over the weekend are shipped the following Monday.  

Please note we do not process orders on holidays.

When a shipping label is generated, you will be emailed a tracking number for your order.

International orders are excluded from free shipping + free return shipping on exchanges and may be subject to additional customs fees.

We're unfortunately unable to provide estimated duties and taxes as this information varies by country.
The total of your order at checkout does not include any additional import duties / taxes. All prices on our website are listed in US Dollars.

Please note that international shipping fees do not include taxes, import duties, or additional customs charges and they may differ depending on your region.

Monogramming and Nylon Design Belts

For belts, the monogram is stitched onto the end of the belt next to the leather tip.  This way your monogram or design will show on your right front hip as you wear the belt.

Our nylon belts feature the design embroidered on the end of the belt on purpose - we love the simplicity of it.  They do not repeat all around the belt (our ribbon belt designs do!)

We apologize, but we cannot make changes, adjustments, or cancellations to an order after it has been submitted.

All of our nylon products are individually stitched and custom ribbon needs time to be produced also.  Please allow up to 8 weeks for the product to be completed.

We are unable to rush the production time of orders.

RETURNS & EXCHANGES

Exchanges:
Gells accepts exchanges as long as the product is not custom, monogrammed, discontinued (final sale), visibly worn or damaged. If the size you ordered does not fit properly or you would prefer a different design, please email us info@gellsapparel.com or call us at 1-888-646-8899.  We will take the item back and credit you.  In order to get you the product you would like as fast as possible it’s best to place a new order.  

Returns:
Gells accepts returns for credit or refund (excluding shipping and processing charges) on purchases made directly through our company as long as the returned product is not custom, monogrammed, discontinued (final sale), visibly worn or damaged. All sales of gift cards and promotional items are final and are not eligible for return. For full refunds, the product must be returned within 90 days of purchase, and we can only issue credit to the original form of payment. We are happy to issue merchandise credit regardless of the original purchase date.

Gells only provides prepaid return labels for products that arrive damaged, defective or incorrect. Please carefully inspect your order upon delivery. If you receive damaged, defective, or incorrect merchandise, please contact us at 888-646-8899 or by email at info@gells.org and a representative will be glad to send you a shipping label to exchange or return your defective items.

Please allow two weeks for processing of returns and exchanges. If you need to expedite the exchange process we suggest you purchase the new product from our website and send the unwanted or incorrect merchandise back to us as a return. (Please note that we can only issue a refund back to the original credit card used for purchase for each item).

For all orders placed with Gells we process payment up-front and in full.   If you have any questions or would like an update on your order, please give us a call.

Sales tax is calculated based on shipping address and determined at checkout.

We accept all major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express).

Periodically, Gells will send our various promotions or discounts via email or mail to customers subscribed to our mailing list. These promotions are only valid during the dates listed and cannot be applied to any previous orders.  You may occasionally find third party websites advertising promotional codes for our products, these are often invalid. The best way to stay up to date on our latest products and promotions is to subscribe to our mailing list at the bottom right of this page.
