Our mission is to protect marine mammals in the Gulf of Maine through education, research and conservation. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization based in Portsmouth, NH. Blue Ocean Society was founded by two whale watch naturalists, Jen Kennedy and Dianna Schulte, who were frustrated with the lack of translation of open ocean research into information that could be used by the public. We strive to learn more about the Gulf of Maine, and particularly an important habitat called Jeffreys Ledge, and then bring our research to the public through a variety of outreach programs. We hope by sharing information with the public and resource managers, more people will be inspired to learn more about the marine environment and help protect it.
We both have lost dogs (one of which is our company mascot) to this growing epidemic, lets find a cure!
The National Canine Cancer Foundation (NCCF) is a nationwide, contribution funded, 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation dedicated to eliminating cancer as a major health issue in dogs by funding grants directly to cancer researchers who are working to save dogs lives by finding cures, better treatments and accurate, cost effective diagnostic methods in dealing with canine cancer.
Funds are used in eliminating cancer as a major health problem in dogs by promoting the scientific efforts of cancer researchers to encourage and provide grant support for basic, pre-clinical and clinical research in high impact and innovative cancer research. We are working to save lives though finding cures, better treatments, more accurate cost effective diagnostic methods in dealing with cancer and diminishing dogs suffering from cancer through research, education, advocacy, and service.
Various forms of arthritis have negatively impacted the lives of too many of our friends and family, we need better treatments!
For more than 40 years, the Arthritis National Research Foundation (ANRF) has funded arthritis research to understand the causes, preventions and development of new treatments for osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, juvenile arthritis and other autoimmune diseases.
The ANRF provides arthritis research grants and medical grants to brilliant, young MD and PhD scientists at major universities and research institutes across America. One- and two-year arthritis research grants allow these young scientists to develop their important research to a stage where it can be continued and further supported by national agencies.
Since 2006, ThanksUSA has awarded over $10 million in scholarships to military families. Recipients come from all 50 states and DC and every branch of service, including the National Guard and Reserves.
Join us in our mission of providing college, technical and vocational school need-based scholarships for the children and spouses of US military personnel.
Like too many people out there, we have family and friends who have been diagnosed, let's work together to find a cure!
